The first phase of the PEACECORE PROJECT (2021-2023) was one that recorded modest successes and a lot of lessons learned because it strengthened the institutional capacity of PPBA and it's staff; it enhanced the visibility of the relatively "new" government institutional framework for conflict transformation while setting it on a pedestal to coordinate activities of other state and non-state players in the conflict prevention and peace building spectrum in Plateau State.
To herald the second phase of the project, staff of the PPBA recently had a Mini Workshop to cross the "Ts" and dot "Is". This mini workshop exposed staff to what is expected in the second phase while providing the needed ambience for bonding with the Head of GIZ-PEACECORE PROJECT and other support staff from the German Agency for International Development, GIZ. It was indeed a moment of learning, relearning and unlearning for the team.
Our gratitude goes to the government of Plateau State and our biggest partners -GIZ - for your unending support and collaboration to building a Plateau State that is at Peace with itself and the rest of the world.
