To determine the effectiveness of the programmes and projects of the agency, a vibrant Monitoring and Evaluation Unit must be on ground. Monitoring is the continuous assessment of programmes based on early detailed information about the progress or delay of the ongoing assessed activities. Evaluation is the systematic examination concerning the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and impact of activities in the light of the specified objectives.

This unit of the Agency assesses the performance of projects, institutional support and programmes set up by governments, international organisations and NGOs and donors in Plateau State. Its goal is to improve the current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact. This unit has also been working on tracking down emerging conflict issues and monitoring progress of peace activities of the Agency.
