The youths drawn from the two states were exposed to the healthy use of the social media using the four Ds of Appreciative Inquiry which are: Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny. This initiative birthed by the DG, PPBA, Julie Sanda would help the online media practitioners, conventional media professionals and bloggers to put out messages on their various platforms using Conflict Sensitivity and Do No Harm principles to promote peace and peaceful coexistence in the neighbouring states and beyond.
The 1-day engagement reinforced the need for collective action in driving the narrative that would build strong communities and enhance social cohesion.
Accompanied by other members of the committee, Hon. Joseph Bukar (Shendam), Hon. S.I. Wallangko (Bokkos) and Hon. Dickson Chollom (Barkin Ladi), they commended the PPBA for carrying out interventions across troubled communities despite the challenges facing the Agency.
This activity is one out of a month-long engagements designed by PPBA to commemorate the International Day of Peace 2024 with the theme: "Cultivating a Culture of Peace."
