If PPBA had a ‘big brother’, it would certainly be the United States Institute for Peace (USIP). USIP provides education, grants, training, and resources to help build peace in Nigeria and especially resolve conflicts over land use in the Middle Belt.
Together with the USIP, we worked to strengthen the Election Security Management to promote peaceful elections and transition government. We have also received financial support for the ongoing peace building process between Aten, Atakar and Fulani communities in Ganawuri Chiefdom of Riyom LGA and the ongoing Bassa/Kauru peace building process.
We are also grateful for all the staff training and capacity building that USIP has provided for the Agency.
