"Building new partnerships and consolidating on existing ones to build peace in communities across Plateau and Nigeria and not just the usual measures taken to address episodic incidents of conflict is the focus of the Plateau Peace Building Agency", Ms. Julie Sanda said.
The DG made this remark when she hosted the first set of guests who came on advocacy visit to the PPBA.
Sanda said this focus and policy direction signaled a new vision for the PPBA under her watch. The various heads of the delegations, Mr. Godwin Okoko of Search for Common Ground, SFCG and Mr. Nantip Joseph of the Nigerian Network of Facilitators, NNF (United States Institute of Peace, USIP) both expressed the desire and commitments of their various establishments to further expand the frontiers of collaboration and partnership with PPBA to better the lot of the citizens of Plateau State and ensure safe, secure, peaceful and harmonious communities.
Indeed, the visits also provided the platform for experience sharing, exchange of ideas and further deepening strategic pathways for PPBA and her partners to consolidate the peacebuilding and conflict transformation processes
