German Federal Minister Mr. Frank Schwabe Visited PPBA

In recognition of our modest contribution to facilitating community driven peacebuilding processes, we were honored by the visit of a German Federal Minister on Freedom of Religion or Belief, His Excellency, Mr. Frank Schwabe yesterday, 24th August 2022 at our office, in Jos.

The Minister was accompanied by a high powered delegation from Germany and also the German Embassy, in Abuja.

Their mission to the PPBA among other things is to have a sense of how we work with stakeholders to promote Peace through interfaith dialogue.

We also discussed other issues, including the state of religious freedom in Plateau state; the religious dimension of the farmer herder conflict; the role and impact of community based structures in the resolution of the farmer-herder conflict and how we manage the intersection between restorative and retributive justice in Plateau State.

We owe a great deal of gratitude to the GIZ, under the Peacecore project for supporting the PPBA. We are indeed very eager to continue to deepen our partnership.
