Commensurate with our primary mandate of conflict prevention and peace building, the PPBA in collaboration with its consortium partners conducted a Conflict and Resource Mapping activities in Kunga/Naraguta community and Bukuru/Gyel community of Jos North and Jos South LGAs of Plateau State, respectively.
The exercise which is a pilot was aimed at identifying areas/communities that have the potential or exhibited likelihood of the eruption of violent conflicts.
In addition, it mapped out available strategic resources within each of the locations that could be deployed in handling any eventuality; assessed their individual and collective needs based on priorities and reasons; so as to design an Action Plan for Quick Impact Project Implementation that would enhance and promote social inclusion/cohesion of all Community stakeholders.
We are grateful to our consortium partners and the Plateau State government for the support.
