PPBA ATTENDS NIGERIAN ARMY DAY CELEBRATION (NADCEL) 2024 LECTURE.

With the theme: "Combating Complex Conflicts in Nigeria: Challenges and Strategies" delivered by Lt. Gen. L.O. Adeosun (Rtd.), the lecture x-rayed the complexities of the conflict landscape in Nigeria like insurgency and terrorism; banditry; ethno-religous conflicts; the farmer/ herder conflicts, amongst others.

The DG, PPBA Ms. Julie G. Sanda who led a delegation from PPBA to the epoch-making event, made a case for the scope of the strategy to dealing with the complex conflicts in the country to include non-conventional security operatives like Vegilante Group, Hunters' Association and other such outfits while strengthening governance at the third tier of government. A point that was re-echoed by one of the panelists and former Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase who maintained that "Police is local and crime is environmental" hence the need to approach the fight from that perspective.

We are indeed grateful to the Nigerian Army for the opportunity to be part of the drive to better our communities and also contribute to nation building. And to the Plateau State government for creating the enabling environment for the annual event to take place in the "Home of Peace and Tourism".

We will continue to work closely with different partners and respected institutions like the Nigerian Army until we build a Plateau that is at peace with itself and the rest of the world.
