It was a moment of learning and experience sharing when PPBA hosted Course 33 participants of National Defence College, Abuja. The participants were in Plateau State on research and fact-finding mission on how institutions respond to issues of conflict in the state.
At the engagement, the DG PPBA presented a paper and led an interactive session.
Similarly, the course participants comprising of personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force and other foreign nationals had interactive session with a section of some community stakeholders from Bassa, Bokkos, Barkin Ladi, Riyom Jos North and Jos South LGAs. The session gave both parties the opportunity to interact on wide range of issues like security, peace and other developmental endeavour.
With this positive development, it is expected that the political parties wii run issue-based campaigns devoid of any inciting statements or hate speech and, to seek legal means of resolving any dispute that may arise before, during and after the LG polls.
We are grateful to the Government of Plateau State and particular, Operation Rainbow for facilitating the engagement.
We will continue to work assiduously until we build a Plateau that is at peace with itself and the rest of the world.
