Beyond dialogue, mediation and other tools for conflict transformation, PPBA is deploying the use of THEATRE to highlight conflict issues ravaging communities across Plateau State.
The “Theatre for Change” initiative, supported by the German International Cooperation, GIZ is implemented in Bassa, Bokkos, Mangu, Riyom and Wase LGAs of Plateau State. The local casts “dramatize” and bring to fore societal issues of conflict, which not only allow communities and groups to reflect on these issues but also to own and facilitate conflict/resolution processes.
It is indeed evident that community response to the “Theatre for Change” initiative can be seen through the enthusiasm exhibited by some community members, who have demonstrated willingness to be part of the change agents in their respective communities.
The support PPBA receives in this project is massive and with this, we are convinced that together, we can build a peaceful Plateau where ordinary communities are galvanised to do great things for Peace.
