In keeping to our mandate of promoting peace in Plateau State by engaging the actors on the peacebuilding scene, the maiden edition of the Plateau Peace Architecture Forum (PPAF) held at the Plateau Peacebuilding Agency on the 31st of May 2021.
The Plateau Peace Architecture Forum is a monthly engagement session with state and non-state actors who are working in Plateau State in the thematic areas of peace, security and development. Previously, the agency hosted the monthly Peace Architecture Dialogue which has been expanded to ensure inclusion of all relevant stakeholders working in and outside the state.
The maiden PPAF was themed “Strengthening the Coordination and Decentralization Roles of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency at the State and Local Government Levels”. The impressive turnout included stakeholders like traditional rulers, religious leaders, security agencies, civil society organizations (CSOs), security agencies, political leaders, women and youth groups. There were also leaders of tribal groups, journalists and others.
