GIZ Supports PPBA for a Capacity Development Week

As the thriving agency that we aim to be, the Plateau Peacebuilding Agency carries out staff training and development to strengthen existing skills, build up new ones and impart relevant information. This is why we dedicated the 22nd to 26th of March 2021 to training. This was made possible by the support of the GIZ under the Peacecore Project.

The first training focused on building staff capacity on accounting software tools and how they can be used in everyday financial dealings especially in the Agency. This training, organized by the Finance Department of the Agency, ran for three days training for staff in the department but also for selected staff in other departments.

The second training organized by the Office of the Director of Administration of the Agency was for all staff members. Titled “Training and Manpower Development for Better Service Delivery”, the training ran from Thursday to Friday.

At the end of the week, the staff of the Agency were brought up to date with the use of accounting tools, civil service rules, the code of conduct and code of ethics of the civil service, basic techniques of clear writing in government business, financial regulations, internal control among many more topics.

It is certain that this capacity development focus would bring clear dividends in the future.
